Window Shutters on a Zürich Building

One thing which surprised me in Switzerland was that all of the shutters on windows actually work. Apart from those on historic buildings, shutters on windows in the United States are for decorative purposes only. In Switzerland, the window shutters work fine, and people regularly use them.
